چکیده
This paper proposes a technique for developing parametric models of modally degenerate resonators from stimulus-response data. The complements traditional empirical frequency response estimates that are commonly used testing MEMS resonators, however, the have distinct advantages when modal differences close enough to frustrate quality factors, natural frequencies and mode orientations. proposed also completely rejects parasitic coupling between stimulus pick-off electrodes. It is shown how modification algorithm using demodulated measurement signals greatly reduces storage computational requirements. [2020-0281]

Effect of thermoelastic damping in nonlinear beam model of MEMS resonators by differential quadrature method
This paper presents a nonlinear model of a clamped-clamped microbeam actuated by an electrostatic load with stretching and thermoelastic effects. The frequency of free vibration is calculated by discretization based on the Differential Quadrature (DQ) Method. The frequency is a complex value due to the thermoelastic effect that dissipates energy. By separating the real and imaginary parts of fr...
متن کاملNonlinear Parametric Identification of an IPMC Actuator Model
Ionic polymer metal composite is a class of electro-active polymers which are very attractive smart actuators due to its large bending deflection, high mechanical flexibility, low excitation voltage, low density, and ease of fabrication. These properties make IPMC a proper candidate for many applications in various fields such as robotics, aerospace, biomedicine, etc. Although the actuation beh...

MEMS resonators have started replacing the quartz crystals and SAW resonators in RF transceivers because of their inherent advantages like high quality factor, small size, robustness and easy integrability with supporting electronics. The paper presents the developments that have taken place in MEMS resonators. Some of the issues in the design and development of electrostatically transduced MEM...
متن کاملCoherent optical non-reciprocity in axisymmetric resonators.
We describe an approach to optical non-reciprocity that exploits the local helicity of evanescent electric fields in axisymmetric resonators. By interfacing an optical cavity to helicity-sensitive transitions, such as Zeeman levels in a quantum dot, light transmission through a waveguide becomes direction-dependent when the state degeneracy is lifted. Using a linearized quantum master equation,...
